Our sales staff are attentive and knowledgeable with all aspects of your shopping experience, and we want you to come to our store and feel like you are getting the best possible experience ever.
Free Estimates
At South City Lumber estimates are always Free. Simply fill out the form and tell us what you need and we will email you back an estimate.
If you have questions or are unsure of what products will work best for your project, then give us a call and talk to one of our helpful building experts.
Lumber Delivery
South City Lumber provides same and next day delivery service. We primarily deliver to Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, but we have been known to venture farther if need be.
Delivery fees are competitive and based on the product, volume and destination of the load. Please call for more information.
Window & Door Consultation Service
We offer a Free Onsite or In-home Window & Door Consultation. Our experienced professionals will work with you to come up with the best window and/or door solution to fit your project, while keeping with the architectural character of your home and lifestyle.
Custom Cabinets
We carry a line of custom cabinets from Crystal Cabinet Works. The Current line of cabinetry is made-to-order and features a selection of all wood door styles in an array of finishes and storage options normally found on high-end cabinets.
Whether you are remodeling, renovating or building new, our cabinet expert is here to help you organize, plan and design your new cabinetry.
Custom Milling
We are happy to assist our customers with most types of wood cutting on site. However if you need to match a moulding pattern or historical siding for a renovation, or you’re creating something totally new for a custom home, we are here to help with your milling needs.
We have partnered with local craftsmen to provide custom milling via Special Order in a timely manner.
Plan Take-off
If you’re planning to build and have architectural plans, bring them in. We’ll be happy to do a estimate for all the lumber, building materials, windows, doors and decking that you might need.
We send the plans out to a professional take-off company where they read the plans and accurately tell us what you need. This is a pay service and the cost is applied toward your purchase should you go forward with our quote.
Tool Repair
South City Lumber is an official Factory Authorized Repair Drop-off and Pick-up location for all of the major tool brands, whether under warranty or not.
Bring your up-and-quit, not working power tools into the store and we will ship them off to be repaired. We also offer saw blade sharpening, including router and bit sharpening.
Installation Recommendations
We work with competent, licensed general contractors every day, and are glad to make recommendations based on your project and needs. While we do not guarantee the work done by any referral contractor, we are confident that we can point you in the right direction.

We’ll keep you sharp
Our Sharpening Service offers saw blade sharpening for steel and carbide saw blades, and they sharpen router bits and drill bits.
Along with sharpening, if your favorite tool should ever stop working or fall off a ladder and break, our tool department is an official Factory Authorized Repair Drop-off and Pick-up location for all of the major tool brands.
